What is vssls?

vssls is a worship collective from the Adelaide Hills, Australia writing scripture-led songs for the Church. We write faith-filled, scripture-driven, Spirit-led, Jesus-focused worship songs for youth and all generations.

Why is the collective called “vssls”?

The name vssls comes from multiple Scripture passages including — Romans 9 (vessels of mercy), 2 Timothy 2 (vessels of honour), 2 Corinthians 4 (vessels of clay). In 2 Kings 4 God multiplied oil through empty vessels gathered by the widow., We believe God wants to pour out fresh oil in this season, but He can only fill what's been emptied.

Where is vssls based?

We're based in Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Our first live worship night was on January 26, 2026 at Atelier Theatre, Cornerstone College in Mount Barker. We write songs for the global Church according to the Great Commission.

Our debut single "Friend to me" releases February 2026 on all major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, and more. It was recorded live at our first worship night on January 26, 2026, which happened to be the hottest day in 17 years! Pre-save it now to be notified when it drops.

What is “Friend to me” about?

"Friend to me" is based on John 15 where Jesus calls His followers friends rather than servants. It's a song about seeing God in the simple things, being quick to respond when He speaks, and inviting Him into every space where we live.

When will you release more music?

We plan to release new music regularly throughout 2026. We're not chasing viral moments—we're stewarding legacy, writing modern psalms that we believe will be sung for decades.

What makes vssls different from other worship music?

We write modern psalms designed to be sung for decades, not viral moments. Every song is anchored in Scripture with grace and truth frequency (John 1:14). We're youth-first but accessible to all generations.

Are your songs only for youth?

No! While we're youth-first in our approach, our songs are accessible to all generations. They work for personal devotion, youth group worship, and multigenerational congregational settings.

everything we do is rooted in Scripture

That He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels
of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory, namely us whom He has called.

Romans 9:23-24

If anyone keeps himself clean, he will be a vessel for honour, set apart, useful to the Master, ready for every good work.

2 Timothy 2:21

We have this treasure in vessels made-of-clay, to show that the abundance and excellence of the power is from God and not from us.

2 Corinthians 4:7

Go, borrow vessels from everywhere... empty vessels; do not gather just a few...

2 Kings 4:3
