Who is vssls?

vssls is a worship collective birthed in the Adelaide Hills, writing scripture-led songs for the Church — from congregational anthems to altar-born moments.

We are vessels of honour, carrying the new wine of the Holy Spirit and shining forth the riches of God's glory to a generation that is hungry and desperate to see Jesus.

Why “vssls”?

The name vssls comes from multiple passages in the Scripture that shaped our identity and calling — Romans 9, 2 Timothy 2, 2 Corinthians 4.

In 2 Kings 4, a widow in debt with “nothing but a jar of oil” received an unusual instruction from the prophet Elisha — one that required obedience, humility, and faith. She stepped out. She gathered vessels. She poured. And God multiplied oil until every vessel was full.

We believe God wants to pour out fresh oil in this season — on individuals, on communities, on the Church. But He can only fill what's been emptied.

Go, borrow vessels from everywhere... empty vessels; do not gather just a few.
— 2 Kings 4:3

What we believe

Our songs carry grace and truth frequency (John 1:14) — the same DNA of Christ that resonates in every human heart, whether they know Jesus yet or not. We write for personal and corporate confession, declaration, and meditation of God's Word, believing these songs will lead to:

  • A move away from borrowed faith to personal relationship with Jesus

  • Revelation and awakening

  • Discipleship that ripples through families, communities, regions, and nations

  • Multigenerational impact and legacy

we believe in releasing a fresh sound from heaven which enables personal and corporate confession, declaration, and meditation of God's grace and truth, in turn releasing the reality of heaven here on earth.

Our songs aren’t designed to go viral. They're songs we believe will be sung for decades—like hymns that shaped generations before us.

We're not chasing momentary fame. We're stewarding legacy, writing modern psalms that are:

  • Faith-filled – Declaring who God is, even if circumstances may scream otherwise

  • Scripture-driven – Every lyric anchored in the Word of God

  • Spirit-led – Our songs are born out of the overflow of our worship , they leave room for spontaneous worship and diverse expressions of devotion to God

  • Jesus-focused – Everything points to Him

We're youth-first but accessible to the generations.

Birthed in Adelaide Hills but mindful of the Great Commission: making disciples of all nations.

Help me to see in the simple things, be quick to respond when I hear you speak.
Each space where I live I invite you in, like a friend would you speak to me?
— Friend to Me, vssls 2025

Our songs aren't just for Sunday morning—though many work beautifully in congregational worship. They help hearts express their need for God and longing for intimacy and deeper revelation. They're for the altar, the bedroom, the car, the moments when you're alone with God wrestling through doubt and discovering breakthrough. They're for corporate gatherings and personal devotion. For youth groups and multigenerational services.

everything we do is rooted in Scripture

That He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels
of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory, namely us whom He has called.

Romans 9:23-24

If anyone keeps himself clean, he will be a vessel for honour, set apart, useful to the Master, ready for every good work.

2 Timothy 2:21

We have this treasure in vessels made-of-clay, to show that the abundance and excellence of the power is from God and not from us.

2 Corinthians 4:7

Go, borrow vessels from everywhere... empty vessels; do not gather just a few...

2 Kings 4:3
